Internet Broadcast

Internet Broadcast, sometimes also referred to as Live Video Streaming, is the broadcast of live and archived video content over the Internet, in a process similar to traditional television broadcast. There is a single signal generated at the studio in both cases. In traditional television the source signal is sent via various mechanisms such as cable, satellites etc. to reach multiple viewers. In the Internet Broadcast, the source signal is distributed from the production facility to multicasting Content Delivery Networks. These networks send the same signal to multiple users.
