Video Ingestion

We go through the following key steps to properly ingest the video content for delivery over the Internet.

Cataloging

Entry of the Metadata into a database and creating a file for the content. Ensure that Metadata is complete - source it from alternative means if not provided by distributor. Provide a unique SKU number for the content.

Encoding

In this process the video is digitized, the file is encoded to various formats, stored on delivery servers and back up servers. Each file is addressed using the unique SKU number for ease of tracking.

Indexing

The content is uploaded to the delivery servers and placed into specific folders designed for ease of indexing and tracking of the video files.

Linking

In this stage the encoded video files are linked to the corresponding Metadata files. This process ensures that when a particular title is requested the correct information about the title and correct video title are delivered during order fulfillment.

Testing

Testing of the complete functionality for each video title on a development website. A duplicate website of the http//www.xxxxx.com is kept on dev.xxxx.com. The website is only available to authorized individuals. All development and testing of the functionality is completed on the DEV site rather than online site.

Loading

At this stage the content is update from the DEV site to Live site. The content gets displayed on the website and available for commercial sale.
